Alexander Chartier, MD

Dr. Chartier is a Wisconsin native who received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his residency training in urology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.

Dr. Chartier practices adult general urology, with clinical interests encompassing a broad spectrum of conditions. He offers comprehensive treatment options and is skilled in advanced robotic surgery for benign and cancerous urologic diseases. Additionally, he specializes in the medical and surgical management of BPH. Dr. Chartier also has interests in the treatment of kidney stone disease and utilizes advanced minimally-invasive techniques for removal of kidney stones.

Dedicated to patient-centered care, Dr. Chartier prioritizes shared decision-making by taking the time to understand each patient’s unique goals. He partners closely with his patients, ensuring they are fully educated on the most up-to-date medical information so they can choose the best path forward together. He finds great fulfillment in balancing the medical and surgical aspects of urology to provide a truly personal healthcare experience for his patients.

In his free time, Dr. Chartier enjoys skiing, playing Sheepshead, rooting for the Wisconsin Badgers and Packers, and spending time with his wife and their dog.
