David K Charles, MD

Dr. Charles earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from University of Wisconsin – Madison. He completed medical school and urology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He then pursued a fellowship in sexual medicine and male reproductive medicine/surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.  He is board certified by the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Charles has special interest and expertise in andrology, including male infertility and fertility preservation, low testosterone, sexual dysfunction, orchialgia, varicocele repair, sperm extraction, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy and vasectomy reversal. His further interests include general urology, such as kidney stones and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

His care philosophy is completely patient-centric, with a focus on patient education and a discussion of their condition and treatment options in layman’s terms. This is achieved via a multimodal approach, integrating verbal communication, written instructions, and visual aids to effectively treat patients. Providing this individualized care fosters a close physician-patient relationship and culminates in goal-directed medical care.

In his free time, Dr. Charles can be found spending time outdoors, watching Wisconsin sports, and relaxing with his wife & their pets.
