Dr. Volkert showed me that I am not just a number. Made me feel comfortable and he really cared. I feel this is very important and on occasions have felt just the opposite. No complaints.

Dr. Volkert is a pleasant man and a skilled surgeon. He is easy to talk to and a pretty good listener. I wish I could say things in a way that kept his interest. I don't know him well, so we are still learning how to communicate effectively. I certainly think that will happen! I trust his opinion and insight. He is caring and I do enjoy his sense of humor. It's a long drive (over an hour) to see him but I'm hoping he will consider being my primary Cardiologist. I feel very positive about the care I receive from him. I certainly tell people good things about him. For that matter all the staff I have dealt with have been wonderful!!!

I love Dr. Volkert! He has a great sense of humor and the exam was very detailed and thorough! Very comfortable asking for his help when I need an explanation of medical terminology.
